Herbal First Aid

Saturday, March 2 // 10am - 5pm

Learn herbal first aid from one of the most experienced “urgent care herbalists” in North Carolina and author of the book "Herbs for Pain." You’ll learn what questions to ask, how to tell if someone is in shock and what to do about it, and herbal remedies for many common issues that arise at home and on the trail. We’ll cover wound care, upset stomach, poison ivy, bites, stings, bruises, sprains, allergies, breathing issues, and of course, herbs for pain in this full-day class. All told, this ends up being a solid introduction to applied herbal medicine.

CoreyPine, Founder and Director of Blue Ridge School of Herbal Medicine, has been practicing herbal first aid for over 25 years and has trained as a Wilderness First Responder and Street Medic. He has helped his clients and people in the Asheville community as well as in places as diverse as festivals, earthskills gatherings, Rainbow Gatherings, and large urban demonstrations. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced herbalist, you’re going to get a lot out of this class.
